Hallcrest Heights is a community located just inside the village of McLean, on the edge of Tysons Corner. From Hallcrest Heights you can easily walk to the Mclean Silver Line Metro as well as the Local Farmers Market on Friday mornings. The Village of McLean offers plenty of family owned restaurants and shopping for the locals to enjoy. Tysons Corner and Washington DC are just minutes away to give you all the excitement you could possibly be looking for in the area with IMAX movie theatres, hundreds of restaurants, trendy bars, world class shopping, and night life.
Hallcrest was developed between 1969-72 and is comprised of 18 treed acres dotted with 158 stately all brick town homes, 6 parks like areas, and a new tot-lot play-ground. Each townhome is off set from its neighbor to define each as an individual home. The community was designed with the look and feel of Colonial Williamsburg with the tree lined streets and lush gardens. Each home offers 3 levels, 3-4 bedrooms and 3 ½ baths, private enclosed bricked garden patios, finished lower levels, and at least one all brick fireplace and hearth. Many homes have sun filled bay windows and French doors that spill onto the patio.
Hallcrest is within Fairfax County Public Schools McLean HS pyramid, offering some of the best-rated (News Week) schools in the area. Mclean HS is within walking distance for most kids, or the younger kids can catch the bus outside their home to Kent Gardens ES and Longfellow MS. Living in Hallcrest Heights you have a definite sense of community, you know your neighbors and it feels like family. I should know, I lived here when I moved to Virginia in the 90’s and still know many of the wonderful neighbors.
